Our Story

A Tale of Escaping The Corporate World

20240928_140808.jpg

After years in the corporate world, my wife and I realized that we weren't feeling fulfilled in the work we were doing. So we decided to follow a different rhythm - fresh air, honest work, and building something meaningful to pass down to our children.

Inspired by the documentary "The Littlest Big Farm", we took a leap of faith in 2025 — with our dog Goose, a bun in the oven, and no idea what we were doing - we purchased a 22 acres lot just outside Charlotte, North Carolina.

The land had been stripped down by it's previous owner, who had only wanted it for the lumber. As a result, most of the soil has turned to hard red clay, and the lot itself is overrun by thorny vines and kudzu. Despite all of that, we have a vision, and we will not be deterred.

Using drone footage and AI mapping, we’re planning to transform this area into fields of fruits, vegetables, and flowers - and creating safe, welcoming spaces for animals and guests. We’re new to farming and learning as we go, grateful for an incredible community of friends, family, and neighbors who share knowledge and lend a hand.

At Wylder Farms we’re building a place where people can gather, taste the season, and grow alongside us. We're excited to become a part of the community around us - farmers’ market produce, a petting zoo area for kids, floral backdrops for photos, and, one day, an event space to celebrate together.

Come check us out! Pet a goat, eat a strawberry, or volunteer!

We founded Wylder Farms in 2025 to reconnect with our roots and give back to the community we love. Using sustainable, regenerative practices and intentional land‑rejuvenation techniques, we are beginning to transform our clay‑heavy acres into a thriving sanctuary for plants, pollinators, and people. We’re committed to thoughtful stewardship, seasonal bounty, and creating a place where neighbors can gather, learn, and grow alongside us as the farm takes shape.
